Chatham County recently issued the following announcement.
Due to winter weather conditions, some Chatham County services and programs are closed on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
Libraries
All Chatham County library branches are closed on Saturday, January 22.
Parks & Recreation
All Chatham County parks and facilities are closed on Saturday, January 22. Basketball games are cancelled.
Solid Waste & Recycling
All 12 Chatham County Collection Centers are closed on Saturday, January 22.
Staff will work Sunday to get the centers cleared and plan to have them open as usual on Monday at 7:00 a.m. However, staff will assess the weather Sunday night in case a delayed opening on Monday would be necessary. Residents should check the Solid Waste & Recycling website, call the Main Facility, or call the Collection Center before visiting to make sure it is open.
