Felisha Eskridge has been appointed as the Director of Women’s Services at Central Carolina Hospital. In her new position, she will manage the hospital's Birth Center, which features five private labor and delivery suites equipped with amenities such as private bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs, sleeper sofas for fathers, central monitoring, and in-room infant care areas. The Birth Center also offers management of premature labor, fetal surveillance, and delivery of term infants with a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Approximately 300 babies are born at the hospital annually.
Eskridge hails from Oglethorpe, Georgia. Her previous experience includes serving as Manager of Women’s Services at South Fulton Medical Center in East Point, Georgia for five years. She later moved to San Angelo, Texas where she was Director of Women’s and Children’s Services. Most recently, she held the position of Interim Director of Women’s Child Services at Kern Medical in Bakersfield, California. Her career path has taken her through various locations including Atlanta, Memphis, Turlock, Santa Rosa, and Bellevue.
Eskridge holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Tuskegee University in Alabama (1988). She earned three master's degrees from the University of Saint Francis in Joliet: health services administration (2005), business administration (2007), and nursing administration (2019).
Eskridge is relocating to Sanford with her husband Cosby who works as a wellness coach at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. They have one daughter named Deborah who is 27 years old.
