Mayor Rebecca Wyhof Salmon recognized 2022 cohort of Sanford 101 at last night's meeting of the Sanford City Council.

Sanford 101 is a 13-week annual program designed to educate residents about how their city government functions.

At the end of the program, participants should have a greater understanding of how and why municipal decisions are made. The ultimate goal is for residents to be more engaged in and knowledgeable about the decision-making process.

The 2022 cohort was the largest yet, with 19 participants dedicating their Monday evenings to learning all about municipal governance. The group included both newcomers to Sanford and those born and raised here. We look forward to seeing how they use their knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm to benefit their city!
