Community Invited to Open House for S-Line Study

Document

The City of Sanford has partnered with the North Carolina Department of Transportation to develop a vision for transit as part of the S-Line Transit-Oriented Development Study.

This study is meant to guide development in the areas surrounding a future passenger rail stop, including residential, retail, and public spaces. The goal of the study is development that fits each community’s individual character and needs.

To get that conversation started, consultants will be at The Depot in Sanford on Thursday, June 16 to share information and gather feedback on the study.

The community is invited to attend a design workshop from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Community members will be encouraged to help the designers generate ideas during the design workshops.

There will be a public open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. To enable families to attend, the open house will include a fun zone.
