CDBG Sewer Line Rehabilitation Project

Bidding

City of Sanford recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Sanford will receive separate sealed formal bids for the CDBG Sewer Line Rehabilitation Project at the office of the City Engineer at Sanford City Hall, located at 225 East Weatherspoon Street, PO Box 3729, Sanford, NC 27331‐3729 until Thursday, January 27, 2022, 2:00 PM, local time. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. The bid opening will occur Public Works Service Center, located at 601 North Fifth Street, Sanford, NC 27330, and virtually. While there is an option to attend the Bid Opening virtually, hardcopy bids are still required to be received.
The project includes the sanitary sewer rehabilitation via slip line and cured‐in‐place liner of approximately 3,150 LF of 8" sewer pipe and pipe bursting of approximately 430 LF of 6" sewer pipe. The project will also include the rehabilitation of approximately 42 manholes and the restoration of approximately 121 service connections. Priority areas are along Talley, Linden, N First, N Second, N Fourth, S Fourth, S Fifth, N Sixth, S Sixth, Midland, Charlotte, McIver, Maple, Hickory, and Goldsboro streets. If time and budget allow, the project may include additional portions along Market, S Second, S Third, N Seventh, S Seventh, Goldsboro, Charlotte, McIver, Maple, S Sixth, N Sixth, Hickory, S Fifth, and S Fourth streets.

A Pre‐Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, virtually, and at the Public Works Service Center, located at 601 North Fifth Street, Sanford, NC 27330. Interested parties are encouraged to attend this conference to review the plans, ask for additional information or clarification, and to visit the project site. Attendance at the Pre‐Bid‐Conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.
