Chatham County recently issued the following announcement.
Chatham County Solid Waste & Recycling is extending free mulch Wednesdays through December 22. Mulch is available on Wednesday, December 1, 8, 15, and 22 from 7:00 am to Noon. Only mulch from last year is available. There is no limit on the number of loads per person, but mulch is only available while supplies last.
Mulch sales take place at Chatham County Solid Waste & Recycling- 28 County Services Road Pittsboro.
All loads of mulch MUST be secured. Learn more about securing your load. Tarps are available for purchase at the Main Facility and during mulch sales. The tarps for $3 each and are 6 x 8 feet.
ATTENTION: Chatham County is not responsible for damage caused by the mulch or for any damage that you or your property may suffer from loading of mulch.
