On Friday, March 21 former Northwood High School Drake Powell competed in hopes to reach NCAA Division I Basketball Championship

On Friday, March 21, former Northwood High School standout Drake Powell’s current collegiate team the North Carolina Tar Heels lost 71-64 against the Ole Miss Rebels in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Fiserv Forum, this was the first game against the Ole Miss Rebels during the championship.

Drake Powell’s hometown is Pittsboro and game positions are forward and guard.
