2022: 6 coaches at institution in Lee County earned on average $7,136

Lee County’s six coaches earned an average salary of $7,136 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the second lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at North Carolina post-secondary schools during 2022.

Lee County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $8,050 on average in Lee County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $6,222.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
