North Carolina midterms sees Jim Burgin for Senate Committee in cities associated with Harnett County spend the most during Q4 2022

Jim Burgin for Senate Committee spent the most out of political committees within cities associated with Harnett County during the fourth quarter of 2022.

It spent $92,370 on 16 vendors during the time period.

The largest expense was for Unspecified Expenses to NC Republican Senate Caucus, which is based in the Raleigh area.

The second largest political spend from a committee operating in a city within Harnett County during the fourth quarter of 2022 came from Committee to Elect Wayne Coats Sheriff. It spent $72,961 during the time period on 14 different vendors.

What’s known as “dark money”, which comes from political non-profits and shell corporations, has greatly increased expenditures and donations in recent elections to record-breaking highs.
