CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! We are asking the community for volunteers to help with our 2nd clean up day of this abandoned cemetery located in the Fuquay-Varina area. Some of these graves date back to the 1890. The family surnames that have been documented in this site are Barbour, Betts, Holloway, McNeill, Revels, Smith and Wray. Also looking for descendants of the families buried here that would like to join us for the event.

If you are interested in participating in helping to restore this cemetery, you may do so by participating in the Cemetery Clean Up Day scheduled for Saturday March 11th from 9:00am to 12:00pm with a rain makeup date of March 18th same times. Stay connected to our page for weather cancelation updates. No need to commit to the full 3 hours, anytime you can stop by and join us is appreciated!

Those wishing to help work on cleaning up we will meet onsite at the cemetery at 1461 Purfoy Road, Fuquay-Varina. Please bring any of the following tools that you are able to use such as weed eaters, leaf blowers, chain saws, pole saws, handsaws, shovels, rakes, loppers, pruning shears, brooms, work gloves, safety glasses and ear plugs.
