Help clean up and beautify portions of W. Raleigh Street, Academy Street, and Cemetery Road.
This year, the event is led by Jonesboro United Methodist Church.
Volunteers will start the day with breakfast, followed by a day of landscaping, light painting, and light construction where needed.
This is the 11th annual Sanford Block Party. Previous clean-ups were on Charlotte Avenue, McIver Street, Maple Avenue, Hawkins Avenue, Steele Street, Woodland Avenue, McIntosh Street, the W.B. Wicker School area, the Temple ball park area, and the East Sanford area.

Anyone is welcome to come volunteer, whether as an individual or with a group.

Homes along this stretch need light repair and beautification, such as painting, mowing, raking, and landscaping.
We ask that volunteers bring their own tools if they can, including rakes, shovels, painting tools, lawn mowers, weed eaters, gloves, etc.

This project requires repair and landscaping tools and materials, as well as food, beverages, and entertainment for those who volunteer.
Each year, the community and local businesses step up to help out.
