Campbell honors faculty and staff members who hit service milestones

Campbell University honored its faculty and staff members who celebrated service milestones at a ceremony in the Oscar N. Harris Student Union ballroom on Nov. 1.

“Campbell University is what she is for two very important reasons,” Executive Vice President John Roberson told the honorees. “No. 1 is her noble and sterling mission. No. 2 is because of good, faithful, hard-working, dutiful employees like you. Today we’ve gathered to celebrate you and your milestones of achievement. You deserve the praise and accolades because of the contributions you make to the furtherance of this University. Certainly without you, we would not be what we are and who we are.”

Seven Campbell employees celebrated 30 years or more with the University, including law professor Richard Bowser, biology professor Debora Weaver, advancement assistant director Patti Tyndall and Vice President of Academic Affairs & Provost Mark Hammond (30) and biology professor Claudia Williams, IT manager Charles Price and mechanic Anthony Jones (35).
