The goal is to welcome everyone to recovery by lowering barriers to recovery support, creating inclusive spaces and programs, and broadening the understanding of what recovery means for people with different experiences.
The rally will include local testimonials, live local music, games, free food, crafts, giveaways, and raffles. Community members can participate in creating memorial posters/banners. Students within Chatham County will be participating in the Recovery Celebration Art Exhibition inside NC Arts Incubator for a chance to win $250, which will showcase their interpretations of recovery through art. Community members can share the Recovery Celebration event on Chatham Drug Free’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/chathamdrugfree) to enter a chance to win $100 (must be present to win).
