Campbell University recently issued the following announcement.
Campbell University’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business offers students the nation’s first and only Master of Trust and Wealth Management (MTWM) program.
For years, this degree program was offered exclusively at the downtown Raleigh Campus — as of August, this will change. In addition to the live, in-class option, the program will launch online for the fall semester.
The MTWM program, which provides an innovative curriculum by leveraging Campbell’s 50-plus years as the national leader in Trust & Wealth education, enables graduate students to develop the fiduciary skills that will help them succeed in any wealth management or finance-related discipline. Students gain expertise in the areas of estate and trust administration, personal financial planning, portfolio management, tax planning, estate planning and insurance.
Further, graduates of the Master of Trust and Wealth Management Program will have met the educational requirements to sit for the Certified Financial Planner® exam.
The MTWM program has enjoyed remarkable nationwide placement opportunities for their graduates. The online delivery will not only allow interested students from around the country to attain the MTWM degree, but it will greatly assist Campbell in meeting the growing needs of the trust industry.
Tyler Britton, director of the MTWM program, said, “Campbell University is proud of our national leadership position in trust education and sees offering the online option as meeting the needs of the trust community while serving highly qualified students. With over 50 years of experience, thousands of Trust graduates, our annual industry Trust Forum in Pinehurst, the Trust Advisory Institute, the Trust Educational Foundation and association with the national ATFA certification, we hope to maintain our leadership position for decades to come. The online delivery is an important component in securing that goal.”
The MTWM program is designed to meet the needs of students who want to earn the master’s degree but prefer a program that allows the flexibility needed for busy professionals. Students may take courses in the evening at Campbell’s Law School (Raleigh campus) or online, allowing for maximum flexibility.
Jimmy Witherspon, the person most responsible for the growth and development of Campbell’s Trust program, commented on the Fall 2022 online launch.
“Offering a world-class online MTWM degree program is the next logical step in Campbell fulfilling its mission to broaden the depth of technical expertise of even well-seasoned fiduciaries nationwide,” he said. “A degree in Trust and Wealth Management from Campbell also carries enormous weight amongst senior managers attempting to identify and bring onboard the next generation of leaders in the Trust and Wealth Management industry”.
