Chatham County recently issued the following announcement.
The Chatham County Parks and Recreation Department is treating the Chatham community to its annual Trunk or Treat Fall Festival this October. Community members are invited to come dressed in their best costumes for an afternoon of fall fun.
The Trunk or Treat Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Northeast District Park, located at 5408 Big Woods Road, Chapel Hill. This free, family-friendly event will include pumpkin carving, pumpkin painting, Halloween-themed games, Halloween-themed crafts, and a photo booth from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Following those fall activities will be the Trunk or Treat, where children can trick-or-treat in the parking lot, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“We are excited to host our Halloween event in person this year, and to offer an opportunity for the community to get out and show off those Halloween costumes,” said Chatham County Parks and Recreation Director Tracy Burnett. “We are mindful that we are still in a pandemic, and we will be adhering to all public health safety guidelines at this outdoor event.”
