Campbell University Athletics issued the following announcement on Sept. 2.
Former Syracuse goalie Kelsey Richardson has joined Campbell as an assistant lacrosse coach, announced today by head coach Dawn Easley.
Richardson comes to Campbell from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., where she has been an assistant girls coach since 2019. A Memphis, N.Y. native, Richardson was responsible for all team planning, organization and communications for IMG's girls lacrosse program, as well as designing training programs.
At IMG, Richardson also implemented the program's "Leadership Council" and Empowered Female Athlete group to provide more value for athletes.
Richardson has also coached at the club level, serving as head coach of the Orange Crush Girls (2013-15), West Tampa Wolves Youth Lax Club (2016-19) and the Lax Maniax 2023 Black (2018-19).
A former Syracuse team captain, Richardson helped the Orange to four straight NCAA Final Four berths (2012-15), including two national championship game appearances (2012, 2014). The four-time conference all-academic team performer (2012-13 Big East, 2014-15 ACC), who ranks among Syracuse's all-time saves leaders, also helped the Orange to the 2015 ACC Championship, as well as the 2012 Big East title.
She graduated from Syracuse in 2015 with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in athletic coaching.
