CHATHAM COUNTY: Board of Elections Absentee Meeting to be Held October 22

Board of Elections Absentee Meeting

Date:10/22/2020 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM  

Location:Board of Elections Office

984 Thompson Street, Suite D

Pittsboro, North Carolina 27312

This is an additional meeting and is subject to cancellation if not necessary.

The Board of Elections will meet at the Board of Elections Office at 984 Thompson Street, Suite F, Pittsboro, NC 27312.

 Citizens will not be allowed to attend in person due to the lack of space in the meeting room.

There will be no public input or disruptions by citizens during the meeting. Should citizens have comments or concerns please email them to elections@chathamnc.org

The staff or the board will address citizen’s comments or concerns at a later date

Per Numbered Memo-25 from Karen Brinson Bell Executive Director of the State Board of Elections if a county board of elections is not able to locate a space large enough for anyone who would like to attend in person, the county board of elections should broadcast the absentee board meetings via video feed using a program that is approved by the county IT department.

Due to the large number of absentee ballots received per meeting, the board voted unanimously to recess the meetings at 9:00 pm and continue where they left off at a later date.

The date and time to continue the meeting will be announced when the meeting is recessed.
