CHATHAM CHARTER: Chatham County Releases 2019 State of the County Report

Chatham Charter recently issued the following announcement.

 On November 18, 2019, Chatham County Board of Commissioners Chair Mike Dasher presented the 2019 State of the County Report at the Board’s regular session.

The report covers fiscal year 2018-19, which is from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. The report includes updates on countywide initiatives such as boosting economic development, efforts to protect the climate, and achievements within the Chatham Comprehensive Plan which focuses on the next 25 years. The report also highlights County departmental and program activities as well as various awards and honors.

“The state of Chatham County is one of strength, resiliency and promise as it continues to experience rapid growth while embracing the many traditions that make our county so special,” said Chatham County Board of Commissioners Chair Mike Dasher. “We are making great strides in achieving our collaborative goals and cultivating opportunities so people can work and raise their families for generations to come.”

The full 2019 State of the County Report is posted online at chathamnc.org/StateoftheCounty. Hard copies are also available at the three Chatham County libraries.
