Sen. Burgin files bill in North Carolina Senate to amend Medicaid regulations

A new bill filed by State Sen. Burgin seeks to update Medicaid regulations, extend federal marketplace use, and clarify enrollment and provider screening procedures, according to the North Carolina State Senate.

The bill, filed as SB 600 on March 25 during the 2025 regular session, was formally listed with the short title: ‘Medicaid Agency Omnibus.’

Additionally, it aligns state laws with federal requirements concerning Medicaid provider screenings by categorizing various provider types according to risk levels.
