The Central Carolina Hospital Auxiliary will host its annual “Swing for Pink” charity golf tournament on Saturday, October 4. The event, sponsored by Adcock Real Estate Services, will begin at 8:30 am at the Carolina Trace Country Club and use a scramble format. Both breakfast and lunch will be provided to participants.

Last year’s tournament raised $8,500 for the Auxiliary’s Breast Cancer Comfort Care Fund. The fund was established in 2011 to support breast cancer patients at Central Carolina Hospital with items and services that may not be covered by insurance or are needed by uninsured or financially constrained patients. The fund is available to both women and men.

Comfort items supported by the fund include head coverings such as caps, scarves, hats, wigs, as well as specialty items like mastectomy bras, breast prostheses, or compression garments for those experiencing lymphedema. The fund also assists with screenings and tests such as mammograms and biopsies.

“This is a great event and a great opportunity to provide essential support for breast cancer patients at Central Carolina Hospital,” said Dave Santoemma, CEO of CCH. “It also supports the great works of our hospital Auxiliary, which raises funds throughout the year to support essential hospital programs and services.”

Registration information is available on the Carolina Trace website at carolinatracecc.com or through their app and Pro Shop bulletin board. More details about the Breast Cancer Comfort Care Fund can be found on www.centralcarolinahosp.com under Services for Breast Health or by contacting CCH Volunteer Services.
