Lauren Green, MSN, RN, has been appointed as the Director of Surgical Services at Central Carolina Hospital, effective February 18. Green brings over a decade of experience in peri-operative services from various Texas hospitals and surgery centers, where she held several leadership roles.

Originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Green moved to North Carolina in 2022. She joined Duke Raleigh Hospital as Nurse Manager of Operations, managing a team of more than 100 staff members for three years.

Green expressed optimism about her new role at Central Carolina Hospital (CCH) and the growth potential in Sanford. “It’s a small family feel,” Green stated. “There are definitely opportunities to grow, but it looks like we are doing that. This area is growing, so hopefully we will continue to get busier and continue to grow.”

She also noted the welcoming atmosphere at CCH. “I think this is a very welcoming place,” she added. “I have felt very welcome so far, with an intimate feel with the team, including the executive team. We have got a good mix of longer tenured staff and some newer staff coming in, adding their feedback and observations to make it better.”

Green holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University obtained in 2012 and completed her Master of Science degree in nursing education from the same university in 2023.

Lauren Green and her husband Will plan to reside in Cameron.
