On Tuesday, March 11, former Southern Lee High School standout Caleb Cross’ current college team, the Appalachian State Mountaineers, won 5-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Charlotte 49ers.

The game took place at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium. This was their first matchup against the 49ers this season.

The Mountaineers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 5 p.m. at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium against Texas State Bobcats.
